"Unfinished Business"

It has become very clear to me that when it comes to painting, I won't be a "fine artist", which is alright. I enjoy the freedom of abstract painting. These two were done in the last couple days and are the first one's a have some mild confidence in. I'm still learning so I'm sure over time I'll look back and laugh at these attempts but that's just the way it goes. They are both movie themed in their titles. The first being "Back To The Future" and second, more obviously, "Kill Bill".

Possible Logo?

In the few times I have shown my artwork to the masses, I always hear that it looks very "pop". Without knowing it, I've taken the route that has already been travelled by the likes of Warhol and Lichtenstein. Though I've always loved art, I really know nothing in the way of its history. So it would seem that I have let the works that I loved seeing seep into my subconscious and affect the way my own work looks.

Rather interesting wouldn't you say?

"Music Television"

I've been working on this for a few weeks now and I'm unsure as to it's direction. My gut says it needs something else but I have exhausted my options. Ideally I'd like to finish it before my art show which is entirely possible since that's not for another month. However I'm still concerned about it.

I put it here because for some reason I'm able to see the work more objectively this way. When it's still in photoshop, I am only able to see the specifics and not the image as a whole.

This was a photo I took a long time ago. It had been sitting on my phone unedited as I had no idea what to do with it. The only reason I took the picture was because of the striped heel. I attempted to do something with it months back but never really got the right effect. So being my second attempt, I'm not sure what I think of it. That orange bubble over the top of the heel really bothers me. I couldn't get rid of it so I might just have to let go of my hang ups.
